Décor
Lattice has moved away from the conventional CCA
treatment, and we now treat all our Timber
for Outdoor use with a product which does not contain
Chrome or Arsenic, potentially hazardous chemicals.
The treatment is therefore environmentally
friendly, whilst still protecting
the timber from insect and rot attack. Décor
Lattice are one of the first factories in South
Africa to initiate this new form of treatment. |

Measure
all posts and lattice panels before installation
as panels will vary slightly in dimension. |
|
Start
by connecting a single groove post into the ground
making sure that when you screw the panel into the
post, there is a 50mm gap between the bottom of
the panel and the ground level. It is also recommended
to use post anchor supports when placing your posts
into the ground. (A) |

The
pre-drilled hole in the post must be on the top
end of the post. |
|
Place
the next post into the ground and attach the panel,
making sure that the pre-drilled holes in the frame
of the panel are closest to the ground. (These holes
allow for drainage of any water that collects in
the grooved frame. Make sure to keep these holes
unblocked at all times.) |

Once
the remaining posts and panels have been secured,
place some river sand or loose stones at the bottom
of the hole. Concrete and fill the posts securely,
making sure all levels are correct. |

Lastly
attach the cap and finials into the pre-drilled
hole on top of the post. |

| Note:
Make sure when installing the panels that
your A side (which does not show the staples) is facing
towards you. |

into HARD SURFACES |
|
| |
|
When
installing onto a hard surface please make use of
galvanised base plates to houes your posts (B),
available from Decor Lattice or your nearest stockists. |
